Volunteer Program

In order to share our project and what we are doing, we are ready to have volunteer from all over the world. Check out the details below.

What you can do?

As volunteering program, we prepared the best activities for our volunteer such as:

1.      Handling the machine of glass crusher,

2.      Processing recycle items,

3.      Marine education

4.      Documentary and movie session

5.      Building coral pot,

6.      Sharing ideas to improve our system,

7.      Learning the operation of our main sponsor Tioman Cabana, practically involve in most of the activities,

8.      Involving with programs with local and society,

9.      Beach clean up and Water clean up

10.  Ocean discovery

11.  Producing product from waste material

12.  Conduct specific field required

13.  Malay Class & traditional class

What will you get?

You will get the most valuable experiences and knowledge that you will never get from the other places. While doing the volunteering, you can also learn the culture and will bring our messages throughout the world and also we can exchange culture to make us understand more about your culture. You can also have your own privacy time and enjoying the moment being in Tioman Island and having some fun by doing recreational and water activities.

What you can contribute?

There are a lot of options to contribute. Before coming here, you can ask us what is the best thing to donate at the moment or you can just bring items for us or any kinds of donation. Instead of contributing energy, ideas and opinions, of course, you can contribute anything else as you wish. We would very happy to have such contribution from you in order to make this place better and keep improving.

What can your participation affect the good changes?

Normally our volunteer comes from everywhere and non-local, Malaysian and from all over the world as well. With that point of view, variety of background will be gathered here in TRH and combine as ONE. A lot of things can be shared with different background which mean we can find the best solution to most problems we encounter.

What else you can do other than routine?

Other than routine activities, you can also come out and suggest your own activities that can still beneficial TRH. Besides, you are able to do some recreation activities as well such as kayaking, snorkeling and other stuffs. All you need to do is let us know and we can arrange the best just for our volunteer.

What is the requirement

The requirement to be our volunteer are as follows:

1.      Good health condition mentally and physically
2.      Prepare your own medication if you are under treatment
3.      You are free from any charges or any authority observation
4.      You have good enthusiasm and passion to volunteer
5.      You are willing to do job scope and tasks given
6.      You have a basic knowledge for our organization enable you to be well prepared before you come.

What is the fee and  the duration of staying for volunteering?

The details as follows:
Minimum stays will be ONE WEEK minimum
Fee :    RM 150/day
RM 900/week
          RM 3500/month
·         For Malaysian = Minimum 4 Nights with RM 150/night
( Includes=  Meals/day, cozy accommodation, education, activities, experiences,)
All the transaction can be done online before arrival into (bank information) or you can pay upon arrival.

Looking For Internship?

Internship Program What is that? A program which provides long term stays minimum of 2 months with free accommodation and meals. It is open for students for University or any institution or any individual interested. We prefer certified and qualify candidate which we will choose through selection. How to apply? You can just email us at therumahhijauhq@gmail.com and send us your resume and application. We will select the best candidate and will be informed immediately once we have decided. Who can apply? Anybody certified and qualified for the field and based on the project ongoing. Basically we prefer marine biologist, mechanical engineering, craft, researcher or any other related field. The person must be passionate and enthusiastic to learn and to be productive. What we provide?
